Mr. Ellis Arnold of Columbus, passed away Friday at his home at the age of 64. He resided at 4034 Union Street.
A native of Columbus and the son of the late Horace and Lillie B. Arnold, Ellis was a 1971 graduate of Baker High School and the Owner/Operator of Ellis Arnold Contracting Company.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Osra Arnold; two daughters, Anjanette "Angel" Miller and Crystal Holliday; two stepsons, Robert Young, Sr.(Margo) and Bret Young; three grandchildren, Markelle Barber, Alton Holliday II and Jaelyn Miller; three step grandchildren, Rinicca Kirkpatrick(Ryan), Robert Young, Jr. and Jessica Young; a step great grandchild, Nyla Kirkpatrick and Kaidyn Brown; his siblings, Geoffrey Arnold; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Our beloved Ellis will be laid to rest at Green Acres Cemetery on Thursday, October 20, 2016 following a One O'clock P.M. Celebration of Life service at the Chapel of Progressive Funeral Home, Inc., officiated by Pastor Claudette Moss. Visitation 3:00 til 7:00 P.M. today at the funeral home. I've known Ellis since midway through elementary school. As an adult, I would describe his character as a very quiet, reserved, and respectful person. I've never known him to just hangout or get in trouble. Your Heavenly Father has a special place for you. Rip
