Dewitte Nelson Edenfield, Sr. May 10, 1936 - August 21, 2009 MIDLAND, GA — Mr. Edenfield, 73, passed away on August 21, 2009 at his home in Midland, Ga. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 23, 2009, ll: 00 a.m. at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. John Rigby officiating, Pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Lee Edenfield, Larry Edenfield, David Edenfield, Tommy Smith, Donnie Burdett, Mitchell Burdett and Johnny Rigby. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 23, 2009, 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Mr. Edenfield was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on May 10, 1936 to his late parents, George Myers Edenfield and Wilma Ineta Myers Edenfield. He retired from Bill Heard Chevrolet after working as a parts salesman. Mr. Edenfield graduated from Baker High School and his church affiliation was Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Dewitte Nelson Edenfield, III. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Livvia Pearl Rigby Edenfield; one daughter, Cheryl Edenfield Martin (Tom) of Columbus, GA; two sons, Dewitte, N., Jr. (Bubba) and wife, Rosie, of Midland, GA and Steve (Donna) of Midland, GA; seven grandchildren, Shannon Martin Hardegree (David), Matthew Martin (Amber), Wesley Martin (Amanda), Shae Edenfield King (Iram), Julie Edenfield Vickery (Jerry), Kellie Edenfield and Jake Edenfield; four great grandchildren, Destin Smith, Eli Hardegree, Trent King, Paisley King and Gracie Vickery; two brothers, Gene Edenfield (Carol) and Walter Edenfield (Linda), both of Columbus, GA; many nieces and nephews.
