Jerry Colson - Class Of 1969

Jerry Colson

Mr. Jerry Keith Colson, age 64 of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 of a heart attack. He was born on June 28, 1951 in Livingston, Tennessee.

Jerry. The Man. The Myth. The Legend.

His was a life worth living and he lived it ever so well. He loved with a fierceness that was uniquely his. No matter what you were doing, he loved you and was delighted in you. Drawing on a wall? Art. Throwing snowballs at him? Fun. Climbing on his back? Adventure. Giving him a hug? Life. He was gracious, generous and kind. No favor was too big. No request was an inconvenience. He held time in his hands doling it out for you whenever you needed it. His love was so big that it overwhelmed the confines of his mortal heart, but now he is free to love without limits. His was a life definitely worth living

Mr. Colson is survived by his mother, Margaret Alyne Ledbetter; wife, Mary L. Vance Colson; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Leifheit Little and Tres; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jonathan Leifheit and Deborah and Jeremy Leifheit and Leanne; sister, Cindy Colson; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jack Colson (BHS 72) and Dianne, Dennis Colson (BHS 73) and Amanda and Charles Colson and Tracy; grandchildren, Gavin Leifheit, Jacob Leifheit, John Leifheit and Gigi Little and several nieces and nephews.
