Columbus , Ga- Mrs. Betty Thomason of Columbus, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. A service will be held for
Mrs. Thomason on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home at 2 P.M. EST with Mrs.
Thomason's grandson Brandon McDaniel officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 19,
2012 from 6-8 P. M.
Mrs. Thomason was born on August 16, 1935 in Columbus, GA to the late Elmer Crawford Huff and
Mabel Odom. Ms. Thomason retired from Southern Bell with over 25 years of service. She was
President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW of Hamilton, GA and member of the American Legion Post 10588.
Mrs. Thomason is preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Harold Thomason.
Survivors include her daughter Sandy Brusso of Tampa, FL; sons, Tim Brusso of Atlanta, GA; Donny
Brusso of Pensacola, FL; and special adopted son Fernando Marques of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Sharon
Thornton and husband Roy of Fortson, GA; Carolyn Wujek of Columbus, GA; Bonnie Cooney and
husband Gerald of Clarkesville, MD; and brother Billy Huff of Ocean Springs, MS; three grandchildren
and one great -grandchild.
