Bonnie Desjardins passed away during January 2016 at the age of 65. She was living in Pinehurst, NC. She is survived by Gabriel Gray.

Bonnie was a sweet soul, she was a caregiver for her parents Bob and Betty Desjardins. Bonnie was a cheerleader her junior yr at Baker, but moved away her Senior year. She has a sister June Desjardins. -- Diane Biglane Griffin '70

Bonnie Elizabeth Desjardins, age 64, passed away at home in Pinehurst, N.C. on January 6th. Born June 8, 1951 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, she lived in Columbus, Georgia, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mililani, Hawaii before moving to Pinehurst. Bonnie had a long and distinguished career in the hospitality industry, including time at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst and other area venues, until retiring in 2015. Survivors include a son, Gabriel Alan Gray, of Columbus, Georgia, a niece, Shelly Woll of Thomaston, Georgia, and grandchildren Calvin Gray, Kayla Gray and Alex Gray, all of Columbus, Georgia. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Desjardins and Robert Desjardins, of Pinehurst. Bonnie's ashes will be will be inurned at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Pinehurst on Saturday, January 23rd at 11:30am. Memorial contributions may be made to any of Bonnie's favorite charities: Wounded Warrior Project, Boys and Girls Club of America, Rotary International and First Health Hospice.
