COLUMBUS, GA— Henry F. (Hank) Pasko, 66, of Columbus, GA died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 3, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father George Gonzales officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a rosary being said at 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Hank was born November 7, 1944 in Chicago, IL, son of the Helen S. Pasko and the late Florian Chester Pasko. He retired as a television repairman after many years and was currently working with the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department as Athletic Chief, performing various duties, including his favorite, officiating at softball games. Hank was a member of the Phenix City Moose Lodge, 1876, where he was active with the Moose Legion, past chairman of the ritual team, and was honored as Moose of the year. He was also honored with the Fellowship Degree from the Moose Lodge. Hank was a devout Catholic and a faithful servant at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where he served as an Usher, Lector and Eucharist Minister. He will always be remembered for the loving care he provided for his mother, and being one of Santa's favorite helpers. In addition to his father, Hank was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Ann Pasko. Survivors include his mother, Helen Pasko of Columbus, GA; three children, Melissa Whiddon and her husband, Scott of Columbus, GA, James Pasko and his wife, Carol of Columbus, GA, and Angela Nix and her husband, Chris of Cartersville, GA; two brothers, Chester Pasko and his wife, Sue of Sutherland, VA, and Vince Pasko and his wife, Felicia of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Theresa Grandgeorge and her husband, Chuck of Ellerslie, GA, and Cyndi Denzik Of Columbus, GA; eight grandchildren, Brandon Whiddon, Nickolas Whiddon, James Pasko, Dillan Pasko, Adam Pasko, Collin Nix, Jonathan Nix, and Joseph Nix.
