Midland, GA- Janice Louise Greene deBrabant, age 77, passed away at her home on Monday, November 27, 2017. The family will have a visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary and again one hour prior to services. Janice's funeral service will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
Janice was born in Junction City, Georgia on July 31, 1940. She is the daughter of John William Greene and Jewel Naomi Hill Greene. She was educated in Columbus and graduated from Baker High School in 1958. In September of 1958, Janice married August deBrabant, they have been married for 59 years. 
Through the years Janice worked at Piggly Wiggly, as a head cashier, Union Carbide, and at Mutec in the Quality Control Department. Janice made friends easily, she loved everyone she came in contact with, and she never met a stranger. She loved her savior and was a member of both Crystal Valley Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for years and Bethel Baptist Church during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, a brother-in-law William Streetman and a nephew, Larry Greene Jr.
Survivors include: her husband, August; a son, William deBrabant (Angi); two daughters, Terri Ussery, Kim (Robert) 
Smith; three granddaughters, Lacie Paul, Abby Ussery, Katelyn deBrabant; three grandsons, Kyle deBrabant, Robbie Smith, Cameron Smith; three Great grandchildren, Lana, Lilly, and Leah Paul; three sisters, Linda Sue Streetman, Judy Stokes, Debbie McMillan; and one brother, Larry Greene, several nieces and nephews, she is also survived by her dog, "Little Bit."
Janice is a special wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Granny will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her children and grandchildren.
