What blessed memories of Pat.  Glad I was able to see and talk to him at Cook's on Friday before the reunion.  He had a great sense of humor from when I first met him at Eddy Jr.High and when I saw him last on 9/26/2014.

I wished someone would have called me, as I would have attended his funeral.  Pat and I went way back, starting in Benning Hills Elementary when Pat was "drafted" by my father, who coached the Little League team--The Indians.  The old man stacked the team one year with some older boys--Randy Achey, Craig Hrncir, Mark Allen, Pat Lynch and a couple of others, whose presence on the field prompted questions from other coaches about birth certificates.  Pat was a pitcher and somewhat wild.  I always stood outside the batter's box when I faced him in practice. It was a winning year while boys like me sat on the bench and played with ants.  Pat was a regular Friday night "cruiser" of Victory Drive, nearly straight from "American Graffiti" casting.  He did a lot of water skiing with me, Butler, Bolden, and Johnston on Lake Oliver.  He always seemed happy even when he was sad.  He was truly a friend to everyone.  When I was sick and couldn't attend graduation he brought my diploma home and gave it to my mother, saying something to the effect, "I bettcha didn't think Gary passed."  He made Benning Hills, Eddy and Baker more fun and I will always have fond memories of him.

I remember Pat Lynch well.  He lived around the corner from my house on Lafayette Drive.  I lived on Collins Drive.  We were all part of the Benning Hills Gang. I am truly sorry that I did not get a chance to see him at the recent Lions Reunion, it would have been great to run into him again. Condolences to the Lynch family.
