Rudy Jones was a good friend.  We practiced football (he actually got to play, scoring the only touchdown against Glynn Academy!) played a little red clay tennis in front of his folk's house in Rose Hill, went on some double dates (he always had the cutest date) and worked side by side in the Summer at the old Columbus Mill.  Rudy was so good at selling pyramid pots and pans that he almost gave up going to Mercer in Macon.  He was the closing lawyer on the first house Mary and I bought.

When my parents died in 2004 and 2005, I had to go to the Probate Court in Columbus.  Right away I spotted the big oil portrait of Rudy on the wall and mentioned our friendship to court employees.  They were extra nice and had the wills probated really fast.  Thanks, Rudy, for being my friend.  I'll see you again one of these days.

Bob Redmond
