Mark Thompson, 59, of Pine Mountain Valley, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, October 1, 2018 at the chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton with Pastor Randy Puckett officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, today at the funeral home.
Mark was born December 19, 1958 in Columbus, the son of Aubrey Thompson and Catherine West Thompson. He was a 1977 graduate of Baker High School in Columbus and worked as an offset pressman. Mark owned and operated his own printing business in Pine Mountain, Main Street Printing. He was rarely seen around Harris County without his faithful companion, Ringo.
Mark was preceded in death by his son, Ethan. Survivors include his wife, Angie Thompson of Pine Mountain Valley; his son, Zachary Thompson of Cataula; his parents, Aubrey and Catherine Thompson of Columbus and several cousins.
