Wilma Jean Kimsey Sanders

Mrs. Wilma Jean Kimsey Sanders, age 85 of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Southwest Christian Care Center in Union City, Georgia.

Wilma was born January 2, 1932 in Fannin County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mark Kimsey and Mary Higdon Kimsey. She had worked for Eastern Airlines for a number of years and later retired from Sales and Marketing with the Alcoa-Aluminum Company. Wilma enjoyed many hobbies to include sewing, crafting and especially time spent with her grandchildren. In 1989 her late husband, Bernard J. Sanders retired and they moved to Flagler Beach, Florida for several years. During this time Wilma served as Beverly Beach Commisioner for several years. She and Bernard moved back to Georgia in 2010. Wilma was Baptist by faith.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Haverstock (Jeff), Villa Rica, Georgia, Debbie Moore (Jim), Alpharetta, Georgia, Bernie Sanders (Sandy), Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Michael Sanders, Freeport, Florida, Lenny Krygler, Alpharetta, Georgia; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, brother, Mark Kimsey, Union City, Georgia, sister-in-law, Edna Ann Hinton, Flagler Beach, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 

In accordance with her wishes, she was cremated.
