Myra Helen Teel Blanchard, age 90, of Columbus, GA, passed away on January 27, 2018. A visitation to celebrate the life of Helen will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary on Macon Rd., Columbus, Ga. A private burial will take place in Parkhill Cemetery.
Helen was born on August 21, 1927 in Columbus, Georgia, the daughter of Anzy B. Teel and Eula Mae McGuire Teel. She was raised and educated in Columbus, graduating from Baker High School. After graduation she married Carl Blanchard. Helen and Carl were married for 36 years before his passing in 1983. Helen enjoyed a long career as a decorator at Warner Paint and Décor. Those that knew Helen, knew, she lived a full, happy, and productive life. She brought joy and sunshine to all those she came in contact with.
Helen is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband's parents A.J. Blanchard and Whitfield Blanchard, her husband; one brother "Bud" Teel; one sister-in-law Dot Teel; a son, Steve Blanchard; a granddaughter Ashley Blanchard; a great grandson Tyson Griggs; a brother-in-law AJ (Jack) Blanchard , niece Joyce Teel, brother and sister-in-law Bill and Flo Blanchard.

Keith Blanchard, Erik Ringler, Jon (Jolie) Hughes, Amy (Arnie) Alexander, Jason (Tanya) Hughes, Chris (Rachel) Blanchard, Chelsey, Candace, Corey, Grayson, Brantley, Michael, Jacob, Trey, Loren, Zack, Carter, Conner, Jackson (Jamie), Jillian, Rylee, Zoey, Cheryl Ray, Renee (Randy), Tim (Chrisie), Tina, Diane, Joyce, and Ronnie.
