Joined the US Air Force in my Senior year. After 23 years of service, retired in 1999. Moved back to Columbus for a short while after retiring. Worked in the IT Department at Columbus Regional Hospital. In Sep 2000, relocated to Raleigh NC to work for Lucent Technologies. Layed off from Lucent Aug 2001. Job change brought me to Winston-Salem NC working for Sara Lee in Dec 2001. Have been here since then. Sara Lee spun off it's Apparel Division (now known has Hanesbrands Inc or "HBI"). Really love this area, only 40 minutes away from the Blue Ridge Parkway (great motorcycle riding in the spring, summer and fall) and only 5 hours away from Myrtle Beach. My daughter graduated from High School last year and is now attending the University of Nebraska pursing a Medical career.
