June 12, 2015, William "Bill" Strong passed away of a heart attack at the age of 67. He lived in Bonaire, GA.

He was survived by his dog and BFF Lucy Cooper Wife Frieda Daughter Meghan Strong Brother Gordon Strong, BHS Class of 67

Bill was working as a Supply Supervisor at Robins AFB, Georgia. He was in the Air Force and served in Thailand and Viet Nam. When he gone out of the Air Force, he worked in Columbus working for several beer distributers. In 1985 he started working at Robins AFB. He loved working and was really loved by all those who knew him. At the funeral, many people came up to me and told stories of his generosity and kindness. He had a stroke in March and came to live with us. Our grandkids, Shelby and Taylor really loved him. We would play Go Fish and UNO. He was very happy. He ate Heinz Ketchup on everything. You know we really don't know people when they are alive, but you find out the best of them when they are gone. We will miss him very much. Lucy is now part of our family.
