Jimmy Andrews was a member of the Baker class of 1959.

Jimmy Ray Andrews, 68, of New Bern, went to his Heavenly home, February 4, 2009, surrounded by his family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was a member of Garber United Methodist Church and he served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a real estate developer, both in the United States and in Europe. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was the son of the late Crump W. and Lela Toler Andrews.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara M. Andrews of New Bern; three daughters, Christy Andrews of Vanceboro, Angela Andrews Nelson of Beaufort, and Jennifer Andrews Byrd of New Bern; and four, much loved grandchildren, Kendall Nelson, Jack Nelson, Sophia Byrd and Lela Byrd.
