Bobby was one of the guys at school who had a purpose and a dream.  I know that it was inspirational to all who had the honor of knowing him.

I knew Bobby from our parents being stationed at Mannheim Germany from 1959 to 1962.  Then again at Baker.  He was several years younger than I was but a really nice kid.  I'm glad he had such a distinguished career and sad that he left so early.           Beckie Moriarty Clawson

Bobby is a classmate I always hoped I would catch up with at a Class of '66 reunion. Obviously he had a distinguished military and post-retirement career and a large, loving family. I will keep all of his loved ones and likewise saddened classmates in my thoughts.

Very sad to hear about Bobby's passing. He was another one of those that inspired me at Baker. Why is it that the really good ones are leaving? We did not hang in the same groups but were on thr fringes of each others. I kept looking at him to see which way I should go. I kept him and people like him in my mind all my life.

Bobby was a super classmate. Our lives took separate paths -- his Navy, ours Army, but serendipitously, Karen had a chance to chat with him in Norther Virginia in the 90's.  We are so saddened at his way too early passing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Praying for the Burton family during this difficult time.  Graduated with Bobby, great individual always nice to everyone.  One of those people that decided what he was going to do and did it!  Too many leaving us too soon!
