Comments:

I worked for the Educational testing Services for 26 1/2 yrs., I retired from there on July 31, 2013.

I did hand scoring for the SAT Program, customer service for SAT phones and was an SAT Mentor and did some training for the company as well as monitoring new reps. The last 7 years of my service with ETS I worked for the ETS TOEFL department doing phone and email customer assistance,

I held several other jobs before joining the ranks at ETS. I had a couple small businesses and worked in a factory right after HS. I worked for the Ames chain and K-Mart chain also for short times in the early years.

List any BAKER LION brothers and/or sisters! Or brothers/sisters who went to other schools - understand - it happened! And also, please let us know your parents' names and whether they went to Baker or not....and what Class year!

My brother Bradley Gerald Mosier also attended Baker. He attended 10TH , !!TH and 12TH grade there. I attended 11TH and 12TH grade. Brad was a member of the ROTC group. My father Fred S. Mosier was a SGT/MAJ at Fort Benning and my mom Jen Mosier was a housewife. Neither of them ever attended Baker. They both went to school in Pennsylvania.

What are your memories of high school (i.e. secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hang out, favorite teachers)?

I had a lot of crushes.

I remember Sadie Hawkins Day in my senior year. I remember Pete O'Dell coming up to me on campus and informing me that I was to carry his books to home room.
I guess that made my day!
My mother made my dress for the senior dance. It was an off white brocade shirt with an olive green attached bodice. I still have it. It is a cherished item because of the evening and because my mom made it. My date. was my best friends cousin,Rex. He was a bit taller than me. We got caught in a fairly heavy rain storm. I was drenched because I was on his left side and I was not covered by the overhead awning.

I remember going to the senior dance with Pat's cousin Rex. It was a blind date. Pat and her boyfriend and Rex and I doubled.

My best friends were Pat Wiest and Betty Jean Sprately [BJ]

One funny incident was being kidded about having the same name as the neighbor's dog. We were both called Candy. When they called there dog my brother would tease me and say they were calling me in.

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at BHS?

I guess the thing that I would do differently is stick to the plans for the future that I had made.

What did you always want to do that you haven't done yet?

I have always wanted to do something to surprise people. Something good but something that they thought and that I thought I could not do. I want to make a contribution that changes a life for the better. As I review my life at age 74, I realize I did what I wanted to do from the beginning. I stepped outside of my box and moved away for almost 30 years at the age of 38 I created the life I had dreamed of, It had some ups and downs but I did it my way. I moved with my young daughter of 16 yrs old and began our new life in New Jersey. I found my dream job at ETS. I continued writing poems occasionally and ended up over the next 30 years becoming a published writer. I am not famous but then I never set out to be famous. I only wanted to get my thoughts and feeling cast out to the world. I learned I could take care of myself and my daughter without a husband or anyone else to help me. I was really happy. I found my true love at 51 years of age and we dated for about 20 years before we decided to marry. He is my Prince on a White Horse. Our love grows stronger every day tha goes by.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy writing poetry and short stories. I have had three of my poems published. One of my favorite hobbies is photography. I am also very much into all kinds of creative crafts I love creating gifts for people using my creative talents. I love planning home designs and interior decorating. A friend of mine flipped his home which his father had built in the 1950's. I did most of the layout plans and also the decorating.

Any words of wisdom?

Everything in life happens for a reason. I believe the bad times I had made me stronger. When people ask me if I believe in miracles, I don't hesitate to say “I really do". I can name several miracles in the last 36 yrs. They all happened at very low times in my life. Fate has dealt me some not very pleasant times but she has also made many of the hard times worthwhile.

My favorite movie of all time is:

Our Town by Thornton Wilder. I also love the House Without a Christmas Tree.

My favorite books are:

Blue Willow [I read it as a child and it always stayed with me because of the story line and the character]

The Last of The Mohicans.
