Alpharetta, GA - Kay Godwin Britton, 64, of Alpharetta, GA, died April 11, 2011. The memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17th, at Summerville United Methodist Church, 1201 32nd Street, Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Britton was born in 1947 in Hamlet, NC, and was raised in Laurinburg, NC. She retired from Transamerica Financial Services after 21 years of service and worked as a bus driver for North Fulton County Schools for the last four years. She also worked for Golf-fit, a family owned business in Norcross, GA. Preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Irene Godwin, she is survived by her husband, Lanny Britton of Alpharetta; daughters and sons-in-law, Andi & Stephen Campbell and Becky & Ashley Snow, all of Columbus; uncle, Toby & Elaine Craft of McAllen, TX; and grandchildren, Aidan and Waylan Campbell.
