After high school, I went to Memphis State University for 2 years before enrolling in West Tennessee Business School. Learned more there in 9 months than I did in 2 years at MSU. From there I went to work in Juvenile Probation Department. Low pay made me move to Memphis where I spent 7 years working in the municipal bond business. In 1975, I joined the Air Force, served 10 years at Sheppard AFB, Texas; Little Rock AFB, Arkansas; Ramstein, Germany; and Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona. When I separated, that is where I stayed. Went to work as a government service worker, ending up as the Natural and Cultural Resources Manager for the base. Since I retired, I have simply enjoyed living life on my own terms, answering to no one but myself.
