Columbus, Georgia- Freddie C. Jones, 64, of Columbus, GA. died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Ga. 31907 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Jones was born in Cairo, GA. on June 11, 1946 to the late Russell Carroll Jones and Eula Hazel Peacock Jones. He has lived in Columbus for most of his life and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was retired from the U.S. Post Office.
Survivors include two sisters, Maxine Perez and Husband Michael A. Perez of Columbus, and Kimberly M. Price of Pine Mountain, GA. niece, Augustina Bailey of El Paso, TX, nephew, Russell A. Perez of Columbus, Ga., great nephew, Lucius T. Moreno of El Paso, TX, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
