I have lived in Arizona since 1966, and love it more everyday. My husband, Woody, died August 1998, just after we had been to the 1963 Class Reunion.
I retired from working for the Air Force in 2001. I had 34 years of service. I worked for what most people call the "graveyard." It is the official storage area for excess and decommissioned aircraft. I really liked my job, and sometimes miss it.
I sold my home, and moved to an apartment. I couldn't keep up the maintenance, especially the pool. It was too expensive and too physically hard.
Woody and I traveled quite a bit, and had planned to do more traveling when I retired. Of course that plan didn't work out, but I still go to visit cousins back east and the kids and I go to the White Mountains in Arizona where there is a lot of snow, and enjoy the change in climate.
