Columbus, Georgia- Charles Richard "Rick" Tolbert, 63, of Columbus, Georgia died Tuesday September 25, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Graveside funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, Alabama. The family will receive friends Monday October 8, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Tolbert was born January 16, 1949 at Ft. Benning, Georgia, son of the late Robert Bronson Tolbert and Mildred Bramlett Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert Jerry Tolbert and James Barry Tolbert. He was an electrician and a U. S. Navy veteran of Vietnam.
Survivors include his sisters, Linda Tolbert and Tammy Tolbert, his brother, Ronald Tolbert, a son, Charles Richard Tolbert, Jr.

I was sadden to learn of Rick's passing. We had lived close by in Columbus, and then Ulm Germany, then again in Columbus. I had just spoken to Rick several weeks before he passed. I know his family and friends will miss him, and the world has lost another good soul. Our condolence's to his family.
