In Memory

Michael A Crawford - Class Of 1961 VIEW PROFILE

Michael passed away on the last day of March after a lengthy battle with a myriad of medical issues. He stayed upbeat and positive until the end. I fortunately visted with him just a few weeks before his passing and we enjoyed reminiscing about Baker and Columbus. His daughter and I hosted a memorial service for him which was well attended by those he worked with over the years. Mike was a brilliant mechanical engineer and project leader for numerous major projects in the Northwest and Alaska, including the A wing at the Seattle Airport, an underground bunker defensive system at the nuclear sub base in Puget Sound, and a massive undergound steam project for an Air Force base in Alaska, among many others. His co-workers praised him for not only his amazing capabilities but his willingness to mentor those he worked with. The accolades he received by his co-workers who spoke spontaneously at the service were inspiring and touching.  Survived By: Brother Steve Crawford '68 Sister Pat (Dennis) Crawford '63  (This was written by his brother Steve)

Steve,

It has been a tough year for you to say the least. Just wanted to let you know that Sue and I are thinking about you. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. Sorry about Claudia and Michael.

Sid
