Hi Fellow Lions,
I attended Baker for all 12 years of school, having started the first grade in 1949, and graduating in 1961. After graduation, I attended Ga Tech from 1961 until 1966 majoring in Electrical Engineering. After Tech, I attended Ga State University receiving an undergraduate degree in Economics and MBA in Finance.
While at Ga State, I met Diane Cheney. We married in 1971, and have been together for 46 years with two sons, two granddaughters, and three grandsons.
From 1973 until 1980, I was in the software development industry with one of the early software companies, Computer Usage Co, based in San Francisco. Then, from 1980 until 1985, I worked for Oxford Industries as their Manager of Financial Systems.
In 1985 I went to work for Lanier Business Systems where I stayed until my recent retirement in January, 2009. Lanier went through several changes in ownership including Harris Corporation of Melbourne, FL and Ricoh Corporation of Tokyo. Throughout my career there, I was in Information Technology serving in several different capacities, including Director of Data Center and Netwoks, Director of ERP Infrastructure Development, and Director of Information Security.
Diane and I currently spend most of our time in Decatur (near Atlanta) where we are close to children and grandchildren, and in Dawsonville, Ga where we have a weekend home on a lake.
