Linda Sue (Hale) Gill September 10, 1943- January 16, 2016 Columbus, Georgia
 
Linda Sue Gill Hale, 72, of Columbus, GA passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Dr. Frank Parr officiating. Burial will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room.
Mrs. Gill, daughter to the late Edith R. McClung and Hugh F. Hale, was born September 10, 1943 in Marion County, GA. She was a graduate of Baker High School in 1961 where she was an Honorary Colonial in ROTC. Mrs. Gill was a homemaker where she loved taking care of her family and was devoted to her late mother, Edith. She was a member of Striplin Terrace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Gill played the piano since the age of four; she was trained in classical music and honored by the National Guild of Piano Teachers for achievement in piano. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Gill is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Gill; brother William Gary Hale and grandson Justin Brian Gordy. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Teresa Dorminey (Dwayne) of Columbus, GA., Edie Bray (Glen) of Ellerslie, GA and Suzanne McGraw (Mark) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Kaylon Carter (Josh), Zeke Bray, Landon Bray, Mason McGraw and Lindy McGraw; great grandchildren Carter Gordy and Mason Gordy; brother Hugh "Sonny" Hale; nephew Hugh Hale III; niece Anna Windham; uncle Olin McClung (Dot); other relatives and friends.
