Captain Jim Cummings, a long-time member of CAPCA, has recently been appointed as USCGAUX Curtis Bay Flotilla Staff Officer Navigation Services for Sector Maryland/NCR DIV 22 (Aids to Navigation).

The Flotilla is responsible for 1,230 aids from the Elk River in the north to St. Michael's Harbor in the south, including the rivers of Sassafras, Bush, Bird, Middle, Baltimore Harbor, Chester, Wye.

Captain Cummings' responsibility is to schedule four boat crews to examine and report any damaged or missing Aids to Navigation in his sector so they can be repaired. The CG Auxiliary does not repair.

Still working 42.5 hours per week. Having to telecommute because of the coronavirus.
