After a long a courageous battle with cancer, James Ricky Bohannon of Dover, Delaware passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family. James was born on August 27, 1944, in Ogden, Utah. He was 69 years old. James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gaya Bohannon.

James proudly served his country for 26 years in the United States Air Force, as a jet engine mechanic. He had many hobbies, and could fix just about anything. James was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed building things in his woodshop. There wasn't a project he wouldn't tackle. He followed Nascar, and was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Over the years, James developed a wide span of interests. He collected coins, hatched and raised beautiful Monarch Butterflies, and even taught himself to quilt; winning a Blue Medal for quilting a Mariners Compass.

James leaves behind, his loving wife, Charlotte; 5 children, Rick, James, Robyn and her husband Keith, Jolene, Jamie and her fiancé John; grand children, Stacey, Kaden, Ryan, Donny, and Brady; and several great grand children.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m on Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way Millsboro, Delaware 19966. In lieu of flowers contributions in James' honor can be made to the Kidney Cancer Association P.O. Box 803338 #38269 Chicago, IL 60680-3338
