Emily Whitley (O'Neal) was predeceased in May ,2009, by her husband, William E. O'Neal, who also attended Baker, but graduated from Turner Private School. He developed Luekemia while caregiving Emily. Emily was in the Beta Club, Cheerleader Club and on the Yearbook staff, while at Baker. Emily lived a Christian life, and was devoted to her family and her Church. She enjoyed excellant health untill a few months before her death. She was a rural mail carrier in the Sylvester, Ga area and retired when William retired. They then moved to the North ,Ga. mountains to be near their sons. They went on many cruises and spent a lot of time traveling. Being accomplished Geneologists, She and William were able to find most of our ancesters graves over the Southeast dating back to the early 1700's, and traced our line all the way to France and Scotland in the 1500's. She is sorely missed by her family, but we cherish the times she gave to all of us. Submitted by Scott Whitley, class of 58.
