Steve,

If my memory is correct, she and Darlene Tomlin and another girl where killed in a car crash in Auburn Road, outside of Phenix City, Al. on the way back from a concert, before we graduated.

Corky love her Dandi Lions!!! Great at it too. Is was a very sad day when we lost her with 2 other classmates. Think of her often. TOO YOUNG TO DIE!

Years later when my own daughter was in high school and was choosen as a drill team memeber, I thought of Corky on the field every Friday night at the football games, kicking, danicng and smiling. It made me proud to have know Corky and sharing my stories of her with my daugther.

Thank you Corky for all the good times we had together.

Not a day has passed that I haven't remembered that night with Corky and Darlene. They were two very special friends and to this day, I miss them deeply.

Corky was one of the funniest people, always smiling and making others smile. Great Wit. Terrific dancer on the drill team. We had GREAT TIMES on the bus on road trips. Remembering you fondly, after over 40 years...Loved You, Shirley Boyer Cutler- class of '67

I remember how crushed I was when I heard of the accident. I knew I would miss her and I sure did. I always wanted to ask her out but never got up the nerve.

I can't believe what an impact Corky's death had on all of us.  Her funeral was so sad.  When my own children reached that time in their lives, I would always share her story with them.

I will always remember Corky with love and lots of laughter. She loved a good time, talking to all hours of the night and making up dance routines for the Dandylions.  I remember the night she died....she was mad at me because I was supposed to go with them to Auburn to the party but cancelled because I had my first date with Ken, whom I've been married to for 38 years!! I've never felt so devastated at the loss of a friend and so blessed at finding my Ken at the same time. I will always and forever miss her.

I did not know Teresa that well, However I do remember seeing her in the halls in her uniform and from what  I have read I am sure it was a blessing to have known her.  Darlene was a different story.  I knew Darlene very well because I dated her sister Dianne during our senior year at Baker.

Although it has been over 40 years ago I still remember how socked and dazed I was when I heard of the accident.  I could not believe it.  I was at Benning Hills Baptist church at 3pm just like every other student from Baker was.  There was so many people there that I had to stand outside and listen to the service over the speaker system.  I could hear Dianne's voice and the sadness in her crys broke my heart  because there was absolutely nothing I could do to comfort her.  The rule is, men are not supposed to cry~~~
