Dear Lions & Lioness:
Another great luncheon. We had 169 in attendance and 3 first timers. If everyone who called me to tell you could not make it, we would have had over 200. Coach Ball was so pleased, we honored him, on his 96th birthday. He received many cards and gifts. He was so appreciative. His mind is still very good as remembering many of his players. Many traveled from afar as three, four and five hours. Retired Admiral Lenny Shores, BHS 1964, paid a very good and somber introduction. Minister Ken Pritchard, BHS 1960, opened the Agenda with very great words of wisdom. We had an other minister in attendance who would have done a great introduction, also. I want to apologize for not getting around to greet all of you. Many THANKS, to our registration volunteers. All of the volunteers are what make the luncheons successful. It is not just me. I have great help starting with my wife, Sandye, BHS 1964. We have the best cheerleaders with Annette and Gwennette leading and many more. Terry (Nunnally) Gutman, Jennifer (Warren) Duncan and Rodney Wolfinger recruited quite a few new members for the Alumni Association. This is what supports our website and scholarships not to mention other events so if you are not a member please consider joining. PLEASE mark your calendar for our next luncheon on Monday. June 18, 2018 at the Golden Corral in Columbus, GA. I feel certain that there will be a “Summer Night at the Tavern” on June 16, 2018. If you missed this last one, you missed a great time. I have downloaded the luncheon pictures to the web site. Please check them in case I left someone out. May GOD bless all of us.
