 RECAP

 Dear Lion & Lioness:

 

What can I say, another great Baker Quarterly luncheon at the Golden Corral here in Columbus, GA. We had 170 in attendance with 13 first timers.  We had folks that flew from Seattle, WA, Shreveport, LA, Dallas, TX. And possibly some others that I did know.  Many folks drove from long distances, Hilton Head, Lilbourn, Atlanta, Marietta, and other places from GA. and many from distances in Alabama and other parts of Florida. It is just amazing how our Baker High Family will travel to be with the rest of the Baker Family.  We had class representatives from the class of 1945, 1948 and 1949. 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s and ‘80’s.  There were many pictures and videos taken that hopefully I will get them on YouTube for all to see and don’t forget the Baker web site, www.bakerlionspride.com to click on Lunch w/Lions Photos for June 15. 2015. Hats off to the registration table who were folks short, Joey Lawski ‘67 “The Magician” Bumpy ‘59 and Diane Lanier ’62, Ish Espada ’71, Sandye (Johnson) Nazario ‘64, James Massey ’60, Deby (Strong) Crain ’71, the twins Annette and Gwennett (Johnson) and the rest of the volunteers that helped this luncheon be a success.  Also, to you Baker Lions, that advertise our luncheons on Facebook.  You are all fantastic.  How about the cheerleaders from the class of 1952 to 1964.  I wish I still had that much energy.  We had some folks at this luncheon who had not seen each other since high school.  It was very heart warming to see them.

 Our next luncheon will be on Monday, September 21, 2015.  Mark it on your calendar and please call in early so Sandye can have plenty of time for making your name tag.
