Thank you for honoring those values, which so many sacraficed for, and paid the ultimate price. I've never been more proud to call myself an AMERICAN.

Pete, checking in.  All is going well.  Sending up prayers for all in need.  I agree a gathering of some sort is in order.  We may have to start small but definitely need to wait for cooler weather.   Pat, missed you at the last meeting.  Hope things are going better for you and yours.

Sorry Pete but we were there last weekend. We will most likely be back in 2/3 weeks. We are all doing good up this way. I sure wish we could have a git 2 geather soon.

Shark Week starts this Sunday night on the Discovery channel. I never miss Shark Week. Great wholesome entertainment for grandfolks watching the grand kids.

47 years ago this week Butch... David George....and me were in our first week of boot camp at the garden spot of South Carolina. Sun...sand...and suffering all in a tropical paradise called Paris Island MCRD. What in Gods name were we thinking.

Love all you guys and hope to see ya'll next go around. It is hard to see ever one in just a couple of days. Please forgive us.

Later' Pam and her husband

I'm one of those guys who is a real "once in a lifetime" type person....i love that kinda stuff...

like seeing one of the wonders of the world

or seeing a legendary musical act

or having Jennifer Anniston showing up at your door

(which aint happened yet, but who knows)

i've been thinking about the Solar Eclipse that is coming up August 21st and i think that would be a once in a lifetime thing to see...the path of the Eclipse is coming over northest Georgia.

The last total Solar Eclipse in the United States was in 1918.  That was the year my Daddy was born, and the next one after this year is sometime way after i am gone.

I just gotta check this one out, i think it will be really cool.

And hey...what a better excuse to go up to the North Georgia mountains than that huh. Especially in August.

Hello Bakerville!

Rodney...Thank goodness Carter or the great-grandsons were not with me!  I would have had to stop & let them play.  HaHaHa! Those boys love some mud puddles!

Hi gang,

As most of you that are on facebook know, I am dating a 1967 BHS graduate, Diane Pickron.  She lost her husband to cancer in October of last year so we have something else in common besides being Baker grads. The best thing to happen to me.

When in cools down, it's about time to have a "fall ball" in the parking lot of Cook's Hot Dogs.  As usual, you can tail gate or buy a dog from us. Let's put our heads together and get a date to have the event.

Benny, sorry I missed you and Faye this past weekend.  I was in Florida visiting with Diane and her son and grandson.

Pat, thanks for thinking of me. Watch out for flood waters.

Rod, my "street rod" should be ready by the weekend if you want to come for a ride.

My best to everyone,

Sunshine '68

So happy for Roy and Diane!   Enjoying life is what it is all about.  It is a feel good story.

Roy, there is no other place BHS BUMS enjoy gathering at more than Cook's!  Thanks for the invitation.  I will certainly be there.

Hope all in BAKERVILLE  are doing well.  Pete, let me know how things are going.  Pat, hope all is well.

Hello Baker,

Been out of the loop for quite a while. Spent the winter in Tucson. Got back to NJ in late April only to get hit with Bell's Palsy which lasted for about 12 weeks.

Second time around for Bell's (which is rare), but this time on the right side. Annoyingly debilitating. Some of you followed my trevails on Facebook.

Finally getting back to normal and working through the lingering after-effects.

Enjoyed reading all of your newsy reports above. Glad to see the good things happening for so many Baker Bums.

Sent in my BHS Alumni renewal dues today.

Catch y'all later. Or on Facebook. Bye for now.
