We had and are still having lots of rain and several areas had limbs down and power out but looks like everyone is safe.  Hope all came through safely as well.  Sounds like another system will hit us on Wednesday.

HELL YES it Hailed at my house early this morning!!

Thank goodness I had that brilliant idea to have a new double carport installed last month....

Hi all! Abe and I will be in Columbus Apr 27 & 28 for my nephews graduation from Infantry school in Ft. Benning. Fri, my family is planning on going to Flat Rock for a picnic lunch. Wanted to invite any Lion that is free. Bring your own food. We'd love to see as many folks as possible and Abe is looking forward to meeting all the Lions I bragg about. Sat a.m. we are planning on going whitewater rafting in Columbus.
Also, some one is turning 65 that weekend. Hummm...all of class of 70 will be 65!
Let me know if any of you can come to Flat Rock via Facebook messenger! Love & kisses across the universe!!

Hello Bakerville!

I had a great day today!  Our grandson Carter participated in Ft. Bennings Field Day for Exceptional Children. What an awesome event!  It is still referred to by many as the Special Olympics.  Thanks to all the High School students that Volunteered for this event & to all the servicemen who were there and helped & encouraged our children.  Carter was in bed asleep shortly after 8---voluntarily!

Have a good night Lions!

Pat, so glad Carter had such a wonderful time.  Events like these are so good for everyone that has the opportunity to participate in,  both volunteers and participates.

Hope all have a great weekend!   Looks like the weather will be perfect.

Prayers for all in need.

Me and Sherrell had a great weekend up in North Georgia visiting her Sister, who is doing well and tolerating her Chemo treatments a little better this time..really good visit...

AND THEN!!!....

we headed home and got on I-75 at Cartersville and hadnt gone but a mile or so and ...STOP....i mean stop, drove right into a parking lot...couldnt go anywhere, couldnt turn around, couldnt do nothing..finally found out there was a 16 car pile up ahead of us, so there we sat...I actually listened to the whole Braves game, start to finish, sitting right there on the Interstate...our journey home which is roughly 150 miles...took 6 1/2 hours!!

my butt is sore..

well Jo Ann, if you was concerned about my sore butt, i appreciate it.

Yiiiipppeeeeeee...Oh Happy Day!!...who-RAY!!

We are in the midst of painting the kitchen...ok, well, uhhh, maybe "we" aint the right word...Sherrell and middle daughter Laura Leigh are in the midst of painting the kitchen....my job is to just occassionally walk into the kitchen, look around and start bitching about where they moved something to that i cant find.  I am very good with the bitching part.  Sherrell is even better at not paying attention to anything i am bitching about.

if you aint doing anything this evening...drop by Memorial Stadium on Victory Drive for the RELAY FOR LIFE WALK....(you dont really have to walk, but a lots of people will be walking around the field)...lots to do and food and drinks, etc

Sherrell and I and the family will be there in support of Sherrell's sister Gail Freeman, who is fighting a tremendous battle with the dreaded disease I dont even want to mention...

I'll probably walk a lap and then find a chair....

Hello Bakerville!

Rodney...Glad your butt survive the trip home!  The biggest problem with sitting that long is sometimes your butt goes to sleep. As long as it doesn't snore you shouldn't get into trouble with Sherrell.

Hope everyone is doing good!
