ORIGIN

Thanks Carol Williams Merrill (BHS '67) for sharing your idea about this Forum!

Carol: In the Lion Forums, can you establish a category for searches? This is specifically if I'm trying to locate someone and asking if anyone knows them.

STRUCTURE OF THE FORUM

We'll have to experiment with this... What is best method - in terms of creating topics.... We could create a New Topic for each Classmate or Class looking for "Missing Classmates" as Class of 69 did  (good idea!)... This way the name is "seen" and all the responses are together about this person.... Once the person is located, we can delete the topic.... "Thinking out loud" .... your thoughts/input are welcome... Reply to this message, thanks! Terry

I first "drafted" the forum by setting up topics by Class Year but then realized that didn't solve the problem - it still buried questions about someone so everyone couldn't see without browsing thru all years....

Definitely identify the classmate's name and Class Year.

Your suggestion appears workable, it needs to be simple.  This needs to start so we can learn from the posts.

How do I post a name?  Looking for Gina Perkins 1972, Florence Ritchie Hill 1972, and her sister Maria Ritchie 1973.  Gina went to BYU in Utah after graduation.  Florence married Keith Hill and liveed in FL.

Hi Leslie,

Once you click into the Searching for... Forum, then click to Create a New Topic.... entitle the Topic the name of the friend you are searching for..... then in the body of that message - type your info like you did in the reply above.... :>
