this is one the hardest posts i've made.

Mickey Christenson's son Nathan passed away yesterday after a work related accident.

Everyone please keep Mickey, Linda, Sarah and their entire family in your prayers.

We love you old friend...

Hello Bakerville!

Praying all our Lions are safe after the storm!

All of our family is safe. My brother Keith Livingston's home sustained roof damage from a tree then further damaged by the tree service but no one injured so that is a blessing.

I drove home from my Mother's to my house (not with the approval of my husband) because I wanted to be home with him. I let my heart over rule any better judgement I might should have had. Let's just say there was some serious conversation with the Lord during my normally hour drive.  I was relieved to pull up to our home. I desparately needed coffee but had to wait on that because we didn't have power.

Feeling blessed!

Pat

Great things are going on with our Alumni Association to include this coming Monday.

During the Quarterly Luncheon we will be presenting Baker Middle School with a donation of $1000 so the Administration can help disadvantage students purchase the necessary School Uniforms.  Baker Middle School is a desinated Uniform only school and every year they have students who's families just cant afford this added expense.

Baker Middle School (our namesake school) has been our Partner School for a number of years.  In the past, your Alumni Association has assisted BMS with various needs for the school to include computer equipment, lab equipment, flags and student uniforms.

Hopefully you will be able to attend the luncheon on Monday to see Jackie Benedict, our Director of Community Affairs, present the check to the Administration of Baker Middle School.

I would be remiss in my duties as an Officer on the Board of Directors for our Alumni Association if I didnt urge you to consider becoming a member of the association.  The dues are only $20 per year which helps us continue programs like this and our annual Scholarship program where this year we awarded 7 Scholarships.  Becoming a member is simple and you can do it online thru this website.  Just go to the homepage and on the left hand column, click on the Alumni Association tab and it will instruct you on the simple process.

Yall have a great weekend..(I am headed to North GA. to do some fishing) and I hope to see yall Monday.

Hang in there TEZ...we are all praying for you..

I am still around but since I turned 66 I guess it's time that I should slow down and finally grow up and take life slower.

Bull Poo. Who am I kidding. I am so ready for a get togeather. I got my plastic cups and will as usual have a cooler full of wholesome healthy and low cal drinks. As usual I will be parked at the far end of the parking lot also.

It has been a hard year  for a lot of our Lions folks. We really need this event. I hope all who can make it will come by if just even for a few minutes.

Love you guys. Me
