In March, 1975, the students at Baker decided to protest the fact that we had no toilet paper in the restrooms. By 1975, all of the doors had already been removed from the stalls in the bathrooms in an effort to curb any "trouble" that would occur behind closed doors and it only got worse when the toilet paper was removed from the bathrooms, as well.  So, the students staged an organized walk out one morning late that March in 1975. We all gathered in the courtyard in a quiet protest. I don't recall how long it took, but we got toilet paper back.

WDAK AM 540 was one of the leading radio stations in town and they donated a roll of blue Northern toilet paper to the school in their support for our cause. I was on Student Government and went to the station to pick it up for the school. See attached photo.
