So sad to hear of Ray's passing. We were neighbors for many years. Ray lived a few houses down on Walker Street. We attended Key School Elementary and walked to that school many times together with my sister, Shelly. Once, he forgot his science homework and I said I'd go get it from his mother and bring it back so he wouldn't have to stay an hour after school. We were friends. Pretty much grew up together from gradeschool on through middle, then into high school. Lots of growing and changing. The world is a lesser place without him in it. Rest in peace, dear friend,

It's a sad day with Ray's death. We were friends at Baker but I haven't seen Ray since graduation. We had many good times riding around in his car and cutting the fool.  Rest In Peace Ray and God bless the Rush family.

Ray was the quintessential boy next door although not exactly next door to me.  He lived around the corner from me our senior year, and we became best friends.  I can still see his black and silver Opel coming around the corner after work. He would frequently stop by for an evening chat.  We remained good friends through college, and I last saw him as were making our way out into the world upon graduation.  We lost touch and then reconnected after thirty years, thanks to Steve Crawford.  From then on, I would touch base with him in Sante Fe.    Ray had a very successful career as a realtor and enjoyed  his chosen career path, his family, and his life in Sante Fe.  I always thought I would see him again, and am deeply saddened that we will never play that round of golf together that we kept postponing.  I was so fortunate to have had Ray as a friend and will miss him terribly.  I pray earnestly for comfort for his family and for all who loved this wonderful person.
