Kathy Tillman - Class Of 1964

 
Kathleen Tillman of Cleveland, Georgia died in the Seasons Hospice and Pallative Care in Cumming, GA, Tuesday September 10, 2019 from complications of COPD. Her daughters, Darlene Otto Cooper  and Holly Otto were at her side. Her third child, David Otto, closely attended to her in the days preceding her death.
 
Kathleen was born on July 21,1946 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her parents were the late Robert Tillman, a career CWO in the US Army, and Carmen Sophia Tillman nee Morales Davila, a first grade teacher for 50 years. She lived in Puerto Rico until her family moved to Belle Meade General Depot in Summerville, New Jersey in 1956, where she saw snow for the first time. The family then moved to Columbus, GA in 1958 when her father was stationed at Fort Benning.
 
She attended and graduated from Baker High School in Columbus,GA in 1964. After high school, she studied at Columbus College. She subsequently earned a BA from the University of Columbus in 2004
 
She met and married David Otto, a US Army Lt stationed at Fort Benning, GA in 1968.   They had three children: Darlene, David, and Holly, Her marriage to David Otto ended in 1977.
 
Kathleen married Robert Mustin in 1981 and they lived near Atlanta, GA until1987 when they divorced.
 
After working in real estate in various Atlanta suburbs, she subsequently returned to Puerto Rico in 1988 where she managed a local delivery service.
 
Returning to Atlanta,GA to be closer to her children, she was blessed with the births of her grandchildren daughter Darlene Otto Cooper’s Aaron and Christine Phillips; son David Otto’s Wyatt and Hunter Otto; and daughter Holly Otto’s Aiden, Kellen and Colton, all of whom survive her. 
 
She is also survived by her sister Jacqueline Tillman Harty and brother Robert Tillman, and many nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Kathie. Her sisters Evelyn Tillman and Jessielynne Estes Schnittker, and brother Joseph Scott Tillman preceded her in death, as well as her parents.
 
Her final wish was to have her ashes spread back in her native Puerto Rico. Her children == Darlene, David and Holly will fulfill this wish to her on Thanksgiving.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Kathy's family. The Baker Family will miss Kathy. She was always a sweet girl at Baker High School 1958 to 1964.  Gwenette Johnson Garner class of 1964
