Samuel Leming, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020. Sam was born in Solana Beach, California on March 11, 1942 to Raymond and Minnie (Zuroski) Leming. He was a proud Air Force veteran and worked as the Director of IT and Data Processing at Kroger Co. for many years. After his retirement, Sam enjoyed traveling the world and spending time with his adoring family and friends.

Sam had a zest for life that was unmatched. He had an adventurous spirit and knew what it meant to truly LIVE. He sought out adventures all over the world making lifetime friendships along the way. Although Sam experienced more in life than most, he felt nothing could take the place of the time spent with his family.

Sam is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Susan, his two daughters, Samantha (Matthew) Piety and Perrilynn (Stacy) Shoemaker, his grandchildren Ruby, Stella, and Conrad Piety, Terre (Trent) Middleton, and Taelor Shoemaker, his great grandchildren Brynlee and Beckett Middleton, brother Don (Lori) Leming, and sister, Sharon (Phil) Popper. Sam was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister, Jolane Crain, and niece Georgia Leming.

A celebration of life will be held sometime this spring or summer when his family and friends are able to safely gather to honor a life well-lived. Arrangements entrusted to Singleton and Herr Mortuary and Memorial Center, 7602 Madison Ave. Indianapolis.
