Patricia Yates Kelly, of Fortson, GA, affectionately known as Pat to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024, at Piedmont Northside Hospital. Born on December 22, 1934, in Columbus, GA, Pat's life was one marked by love, adventure, and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew her. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The Reverend Katuri Edwards officiating. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Pat was a beacon of warmth in her community, always ready with a smile and a kind word. Her passion for baking brought joy to many gatherings, and her delicious red velvet cakes and potato candy will be fondly remembered by her loved ones. An avid traveler, Pat explored the world with a sense of wonder and enthusiasm that was infectious. At home, she found solace in the beauty of nature, often spending hours bird watching and marveling at the simple pleasures life had to offer.

While Pat's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, her legacy of love and kindness lives on through her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Quillian Lamar Kelly, and her sister, Nancy Williams, as well as her parents. Pat's spirit is carried forward by her devoted children, Teri Boyd (James "Neal") and Becky Green (Billy), who will continue to honor her memory through their own lives.

Her grandchildren, Jimmy Green (Kristi), Amanda Goolsby (Kelly), and Amy Baker (Dominic Fielder), were a source of immense pride and joy for Pat. They, along with her great-grandchildren, Rylee Green, Jaden Green, Kason Goolsby, Kade Goolsby, Keaton Goolsby, Korbin Goolsby, Lane Baker, and Taylor Baker, all of Fortson, GA, will cherish the countless memories and lessons she imparted upon them. Pat's influence extended beyond her immediate family, as she also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who looked up to her as a role model and confidant.

Pat's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family. Her adventurous spirit and generous heart made her a beloved figure in her community and an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the stories of her life will continue to inspire laughter, courage, and kindness in the hearts of those she left behind.

As we say goodbye to Patricia Yates Kelly, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman Her legacy of love, adventure, and generosity will remain as a guiding light for her family and friends, serving as a reminder of the remarkable woman she was. Pat's life was a beautiful journey that enriched the world in countless ways, and she will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to walk a part of that journey with her.

Sincere condolences and prayers to all!  I enjoyed visiting with Pat at the Baker Lucnheon at the Golden Corral.  Rest in peace sweet lady!

So sorry to hear about Pat's passing. I met her a couple back at one of the Baker luncheons when it was still at Bonanza.
