I got my Ph.D. in English literature from Wisconsin-Madison in 1986, M.A. from Georgia in 1979, and A.B. from California-Berkeley in 1977. I taught at Tennessee from 1986-89 and have since been at LSU, teaching English and learning everything Cajun. (For my job, I've published several books; check them out on Amazon.com. They're pretty academic, except for the one on Spalding Gray....) Generally speaking, life is pretty good.
