Comments:
Alvin and I got married on Oct.23, 1963. We lived in Edenton, NC for 4 month and moved to Lewes, Delaware for 5 months. from there we moved to Jacksonville, Fla for 2 years, Alvin Jr was born here. Next we moved to Wilmington, NC for 18 months, Roderick was born here. In 1968 we moved to Savannah, GA and Melanie was born here. In 1973 we moved to Prosperity, SC [I can say for sure I lived in Prosperity at one time!!] After several months we moved back to Savannah and lived there until June 1978, when we moved to Chesapeake,VA. and we have been here in the same house ever since. Alvin was a construction project manager when we married ,hence all the moving. After moving here he started a new company and ran that until 1990. I basically stayed home with my children.
In 1990, our son Rod started a new company with us and I ran it as a woman-owned business until 2010. Sometimes I miss being so busy.
