March 7, 2016: Recent Accomplishments ....
2015 was a great year for the Baker High School Alumni Association. Because of you we were able to do some things financially we could not have done without your support. For instance, we were able to give $300.00 to the Challenger Little League program which is a Little League Baseball Program for handicapped children to help buy new uniforms for the league. Plus we are looking at helping out several other organizations financially.
In addition, we were able to give out a total of 4 $1,000 scholarships to 4 very deserving applicants to help them continue their education beyond high school. Beginning in 2003, when we gave out our first scholarship, until this year we have given out a total of $21,000 in scholarships. Not bad for a school that has been closed for almost a quarter of a century.

July 2016: Recent Accomplishments ....
Baker's Historical Marker will stand tall and proud again soon close to where it once stood at the "Baker" Wal-mart..... We had to go through the Georgia Department of Transportation ..... so almost there... We will let you know WHEN....
Have a new Baker flag flying high at Cook's Place after Baker's flag pole was just painted.
BHS Alumni Association Scholarship applications are in and being reviewed for awardees by the Scholarship Committee. Plans are to announce the winners by the end of July. (And 2 were announced at the end of July!)
